  1. Hi everyone ! I’ve created a new streaming format: Booster Stories In my stream, I crack open a Magic booster of the newest edition (currently “Adventures in the Forgotten Realms”) and use the cards to tell a story in a typical rpg way. I’ve experimented a bit, and I find the result now to be good enough to be put on YouTube for everyone to see: and the second part of the story is here: The stream happens 3x/week (Tue, Wed, Thu at 16:00 UTC+2), so if you liked what you saw, come and join the stream. I also have built a discord around all my activities, rpg, streaming, theater, and stand-up, so come and also join this growing Discord: You can also join our growing Discord: [From outer space] I’ll post new videos in here, as they are published on YouTube.
  2. Nic’s fundraiser is a great example of how the gaming community can rally in the fight against cancer while supporting the American Cancer Society’s focus on health equity. "Why Gamers vs. Cancer? I am a gamer, and games helped me survive cancer - mentally, emotionally, and economically." - Nic Kelman Read full article: https://www.nkelman.com/2021/01/28/my-gamers-vs-cancer-american-cancer-society-fundraiser/
  3. Zendikar Rising? Yeah I'm a little behind. Finally opened our box of ZR yesterday to draft with friends. I haven't been keeping up with which cards were making a splash lately, but these caught my eye. Anyone tried these or other ZR cards in Pauper and found success?
  4. Hey everyone! In this video, we cover a lot! First, we talk about some great new changes to the channel, then we take a look at how our Pack to Power a Cure is going, and it's going great! Then, we open a few packs from #M13 for our #Patreon Build-A-Pack box. Then we take a look at the Command Zone, a new #MTG accessory made by The Game Jester! This new product is amazing! And not only are we looking it over, but we're giving a few away! Lastly, we crack open a pack for one lucky commenter from last week. So much going on! https://youtu.be/yiHcJYDhPjQ
  5. Hey everyone! So, we recorded Thursday's video and had it halfway edited before we realized that I had completely forgotten two very important things! The pack opening for the winner of our Twitter Tokens contest and the winner for our Patron only giveaway! So we decided to just make a seperate video to cover those two things. https://youtu.be/UKsYhj1NZo0
  6. y everyone! In this video we crack packs for the rest of our #Patrons for the month of December and even more HUGE hits! And I'm not just sayin that. Over $130 worth of cards will be going to these Patrons! We also talk about a change that is happening at the channel and HUGE giveaways coming up and how to enter! https://youtu.be/aQvjkySSHyk
  7. If you are a "Guest" and looking here just to see what was in here for you to see, then it's a welcome from a new member. If you are actually a member that isn't signed in, then let me know that you were here so that I can gauge "How many members browse the site without signing in". To all the "actual" Guests: tell me what it is that you are actually looking for in a "Mtg" site... You might actually join in order to post... To anyone, Guest or member: What is it, that you would actually like to see more of on this site? Deck suggestions (aside from the normal decks that everyone is playing), perhaps advise on how to play against specific decks? Maybe just more postings about Mtg related events and such? Whatever the case, I am curious to know. Thanks for stopping by
  8. Hey everyone! In this video, we pick a winner for last weeks comment contest, add a few packs to our Patreon Build-a-Pack box, and crack open a Core 2019 booster box! Can we beat the cost of the box? https://youtu.be/iCxuoqss70c
  9. I'm at 87 subscribers on @Youtube Thank you to everyone who's already subscribed. When I reach the 100 sub goal I have decided to do a giveaway. Video and details how to enter will follow after I reach 100. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCSkCpzh0XEgWnpUu2FuT3cA
  10. Hey everyone! In this video, we crack open some packs of BBD and add to our Patreon Build-a-Pack box. Can we do as well as we did with our Patron packs??? https://youtu.be/rQJe-6ZQXy4
  11. Hey everyone! In this video, we crack open some packs from a Dominaria booster box that was given to us by another great MTG creator. This act of kindness blew us away, so we are paying it forward and giving away extra packs this week! Then, we open more packs out of the box and put everything good from them into the Patreon Build-a-Pack box!
  12. Hello All, So my local EDH playgroup recently dissolved due to disinterest, but my spirits still yearn for Magic. Does anyone know where a sociable rando might find solace in a friendly and welcoming playgroup? Maybe a public Discord server or a google Hangout where folks can gather to play casually? Skype is also awfully convenient. I've been using cockatrice to build and test decks with friends, is there anybody out there interested in getting a lil sumthin sumthin organised with cockatrice as the playable medium? Thanks in advance!
  13. Hey everyone! Today we crack open a Dissension fat pack and revel in it's glory! Now, I didn't play during DIS, but I still love opening older stuff! And the more the channel grows, the older that stuff will be! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9GMBlg4W4CU
  14. Hey everyone! I'm Mac and I've personally been on a 17 year hiatus from MTG but am getting back into it in a BIG way! My crew and I have secured a ton of boxes, singles, and are constantly researching to give viewers amazing content and as well as fair singles prices! It's just hobby for us with no real expectations as it is for most of MTG fans. Our channel just launched on YouTube (DangerUs Investments) and we would love if everybody gave it a watch, subscribed, and commented so we can continue to make content as desirable as possible! That's also why I am getting into these forums. Like I said, WE RESEARCH and want to be on top of hot topics to discuss with our viewers. For instance, I have a question that we've been discussing... Who thinks Rivals of Ixalan is worth the box price? Are there enough power cards in the set? I ask because we have 2 cases arriving in 2 days and boxes are going to be opened and broadcast via the youtube channel (DangerUs Investments)!! I know it's a little early but most of what I'm hearing is that the set is pretty solid. Foil's can make or break it too so hopefully we get something sick! -DangerUs Investments-
  15. Hey everyone! In this video, we crack open our first box of Rivals of Ixalan! Cracking packs is always fun, and when you beat the average mythic count, it makes it even better. Add in some nice foils, and you've got a good time! Please excuse the audio..... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V5WCvNg85-k
  16. Hey everyone! We're going to deviate from our normal Tuesday and Thursday videos this week because we just have so much to share with you! We'll start off with a bundle from Rival of Ixalan! Well, sort of. It's 12 packs, so let's get cracking and see what we can get out of this new set!
  17. Well, we made it through the sickness and we were able to put out a video today, hopefully getting us back on track. In today's video, we crack open a random assortment of packs, talk about a couple upcoming giveaways and the prerelease, and we announce the winner of our bundle giveaway! A lot of great stuff packed in here, so come check out the video here!
  18. Announcing a brand now content series at the Institute: Faculty-Focus Friday Forum! This will represent weekly articles to be posted to our blog, authored by members of our Faculty, touching on a range of topics from Deck Techs, gameplay strategies, set critiques, and much more! 19. Greetings, Most of you who follow our channel are familiar with our twice-monthly (on average) Legacy tournament streams. As a channel focused on non-rotating formats, Legacy is our bread and butter, and remains nearest and dearest to our hearts. However, we do weekly Modern tournament streams as well! Join us Saturdays, ~7:30-8pm ET, LIVE from PLAYLive Nation in Miami, FL for Modern Saturdays! We typically get 12-16 participants, and many of us have multiple Tier 1 decks. Thus, no two tournaments have identical matchups (though our names may become familiar in time ) Hope to see you in the chat at the next event! Live on http://twitch.tv/mirrodintech
  20. Unstable is right around the corner. What is everyone's plans for this set? Are you just going to draft it? Buy boxes and leave them sealed? Not touch the set with a ten foot pole? Personally, I will be drafting as much as I can, opening a box for the channel, keeping a box or two to draft with in the future, and hopefully doing a draft on the channel if I can get all of the pieces to fall into place.
  21. Hello My Fellow Planeswalkers, Yesterday I posted my new article on what is essentially Cat/Horse tribal! Find it here at https://t.co/WQU1VU5MaM Its kinda similar to something from @MTG Strategist which half upset me because I thought I’d come up with it first! You can find a video for his list by @ChuckWagonMTG at https://t.co/r76TijzR2N Check them both out and maybe consider them (or a variation) for your local FNM Until next time, draw well and respect each other. Yours, GenericBadMagic
